Welcome to MSAD 54 Adult and Community Education. We offer a variety of programs, courses, and services that are designed to meet the educational and cultural needs of the community. Our mission is to provide affordable, high quality educational opportunities.
Adult education in Maine is a statewide system of more than 100 connected learning programs and centers from Kittery to Fort Kent and everywhere in between. MSAD 54 Adult Education serves the communities of Canaan, Cornville, Norridgewock, Mercer, Skowhegan, and Smithfield. Out-of-district students may take courses for an additional fee.

Business & Skills Training courses help prepare Maine citizens by providing the modern skills training necessary for new careers, promotions, and other career advancement.
Commercial Driver's License with School Bus Endorsement

Office Skills Certificate Program
College Transitions courses assist people of all ages wishing to make the transition into college-level courses.
GED & High School Completion courses help people complete their high school education.
Skowhegan Area High School Diploma Program
Literacy courses give people the guidance, support, and training neccessary to improve their literacy skills and the literacy skills of their family.
Literacy Volunteers of Franklin and Somerset Counties
Personal enrichment courses include lessons in skills such as cooking and musical instruments, and also include a variety of unique and fun experiences including art and dance.
