Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Explore classical and creative yoga poses flowing in conjunction with breath.  Class will begin with centering exercies, move through traditional Sun Salutations, and flow into standing sequences linking breath with movement.

We wind down with colling postures and blissful Savasana (rest to aabsorb practice).  With a focus on strength, balance and flexibility-always maintaining proper alignment and safety-you can expect to leave feeling refreshed and a bit sweaty!

Suitable for all levels, but you must be ale to participate in one hour of physical activity independently.  Participants will need a yoga mat, two yoga blocks, and one blanket.

No class on February 16.

Bee Keeping for Beginners

This class will educate those interested in getting involved with bees.  Lessons will include assembling bee keeping equipment, installing a "nuc" (nucleus colony), controlling swarming, and dealing with varroa mites.

Other topics - such as how and when to harvest honey, how to split hives, and how to winterize - will be covered.

On the first night of class, the instructor will collect $55 from each participant to cover the cost of the textbook and for a one-year membership to the Somerset Bee Keepers Club.  Assignment of a mentor will be available.

We will review how to obtain Medicare, when you are eligible and many other important topics including supplemental insurance to compliment original Medicare. If you are currently enrolled in Medicare, come get a refresher on the basics and better understand the choices available to you and when you can make changes. There are many different products and carriers available as well as various enrollment periods that give you the opportunity to change your policy if appropriate. Anyone with questions about Medicare will find this class helpful.
